The purpose of this document is to explain the personal data collection and privacy policy of a software application. This document pertains to the software title Lexolotl version 1.0 and is effective as of June 5, 2026. This policy will serve for all subsequent releases of Lexolotl which conform to these terms. In the event that a future release of this software title changes the data it collects or shares, a new privacy policy will be issued detailing the change.

NO PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION

Lexolotl is a software application for Apple devices which run macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and visionOS. It is created by Mathaesthetics and made available to users through the Apple App Store. Lexolotl is a single-user flashcard application for personal, self-managed education that does not directly collect or log any personal information. The only data Lexolotl creates and stores on the device is flashcard data deliberately entered by the user, and anonymous numerical data on the results of flashcard drills for the user’s personal use. Lexolotl does not communicate with any Mathaesthetics-operated external server or database for any purpose, so no personal data is ever read or exported or shared.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Memsight does integrate third-party software systems and services which may collect personal data. These services, which are detailed below, are governed by their own privacy policies; neither the Lexolotl app nor Mathaesthetics directly utilize the data gathered by these external systems or services. Mathaesthetics makes no guarantees about the behavior of these or any other third-party systems, services, or websites.

Apple App Store is the sole distributor of the Memsight software, and the App Store handles personal information to support the installation the software.

Apple’s iCloud is an optional service that can be used by the user to share flashcard data across their personal devices. Again, Lexolotl does not include any personal data in this synchronized data, only user-selected flashcard content and numeric drill-results data.

Lexolotl integrates App Store install capabilities and iCloud services according to Apple guidelines. Lexolotl does not directly do any validation of user identity or installation certificates. Apple libraries and services do not furnish personal data directly to the Lexolotl software or to Mathaesthetics.
