The purpose of this document is to explain the personal data collection and privacy policy of a software application. This document pertains to the software title MathPaint version 1.0 and is effective as of November 9, 2020. This policy will serve for all subsequent releases of MathPaint which conform to these terms. In the event that a future release of this software title changes the data it collects or shares, a new privacy policy will be issued detailing the change.

NO PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION

MathPaint is a software application for Mac OS created by Mathaesthetics and made available to users through the Mac App Store. The purchased version of MathPaint is a does not collect or log any personal information. MathPaint does not communicate with any Mathaesthetics-operated external server or database for any purpose, so no personal data is ever read or exported or shared. MathPaint verifies the purchase receipt from the App Store using anonymous verification techniques that do not access any personal data.

MATHPAINT DEMO AND BETA EXCEPTIONS

Demo and Beta builds of the MathPaint software may be obtained outside of the App Store for free time-limited evaluation. The web sign-up process for demo and beta builds asks for basic identification information (valid email address) to guard against piracy and other exploits. This information is never shared with third parties. The demo and beta versions of the software will communicate with the MathPaint activation service to verify legitimacy of the activation code and verify its time-limited behavior. Encryption is used for all such communication, and data transmitted uses one-way cryptographic hashing so that no actual user data (including such things as machine identifiers and user names) is ever transferred.


Mathaesthetics is committed to preserving your privacy and also to transparency in describing what our software applications do. We are glad to provide this application for your creative enjoyment and confirm that the MathPaint software does not perform any operations involving personal data other than those described above (from demo/beta only).
